Italian International Dance Festival
Following the great success in 2013, the Italian International Dance Festival in New York is ready for a new edition filled with surprises for all. Join us on October 24th 2014 at 7:30pm at the Julia Richman Theater.

Announcing, the second annual Italian International Dance Festival, which will bring together dancers, companies and choreographers from Italy and America in a spirit of exchange and collaboration.
The evening, hosted by Tabata Caldironi, features companies from Italy as well as American-based groups directed by Italian artists.
In addition to the companies, an important part of the evening will be the opportunity to award three great artists:
Edward Villella, recipient of the National Medal of Arts by President Bill Clinton and considered the biggest star in the history of American ballet, founder and former director of Miami City Ballet, will receive the "IIDF - A Heart for Art" Lifetime Achievement Award.
Alessandra Corona, dancer of Sardinian origin, after an initial successful career in Italy, moved to New York to dance in the larger companies and in musicals such as Fosse and No Strings, will receive the "IIDF - A Heart for Art" Award.
Mauro Coruzzi, in art known as Platinette, multifaceted television and radio Italian personality who recently received the Lifetime Achievement Award "Cuffie d'oro", will present the worlwide premiere of an extract from the musical "La Sposa in Blu" for which he will receive the "IIDF - A Heart for Art" Emerging Musical Award.
