Every Song Tells a Story
Saturday, September 27, Naked City Brewery & Taphouse and "Band in Seattle" present Galen Disston from Pickwick in the fifth installment of the Naked Sessions acoustic concert series. Each Naked Sessions features a great Northwest band braiding songs together with stories about the music.
Join us for an unforgettable evening when Galen Disston takes the stage to perform stripped down soulful blues, garage, and indie rock. Doors at 7pm, show starts at 8pm. Seated general admission; full table service. $10 at Brown Paper Tickets.
Band in Seattle is the popular television program about NW musicians produced by the team at Victory Studios, Seattle's only full-service media production company. Band in Seattle airs Saturday nights at 11pm on channel CW11, and online at Qello.
Naked City Brewery is a passionate supporter of arts and culture. Oftentimes its hand-crafted beers are inspired by a song, film, or person. Every beer tells a story, and each one ferments in its own time.
The Screening Room is Naked City's seventy-person dining movie theater, featuring a New American comfort food menu with vegetarian and gluten-free options alongside award-winning craft beers, wines, and ciders.
Galen Disston is the lead singer of Pickwick, the American indie rock, garage rock, and R&B band from Seattle, Washington. Pickwick's name comes from the 60s-era New York record label where a young Lou Reed worked as a staff songwriter. The group initially started out as a folk band, but after a 2008 tour in California the group discarded its material and changed their sound. The band's debut full-length, Can't Talk Medicine, was released independently in the United States and on Dine Alone Records in Canada in 2013 to widespread critical acclaim.
