Garden to Table Dinner
Please join us at 61 Franklin Street Community Garden on Sept. 12th at 7 p.m. for a garden to table dinner to benefit our neighbor, The Greenpoint Reformed Church Soup Kitchen.
The dinner will feature fresh produce from our community garden, additional produce donated by North Brooklyn Farm, meat from Sun Fed Beef and beer from Kings County Brewers' Collective.
Chef Emma Gonzalez, of the Sunday Suppers at North Brooklyn Farm and the webseries Eat Our Feelings, is generously donating her time and will be preparing a lovely three course dinner.
Several local Greenpoint businesses have also donated gifts for a raffle and tickets will be available for purchase at the dinner.
Cost: $40 for dinner $50 for dinner+ beer and wine.
100% of proceeds will go to the Soup Kitchen at the Greenpoint Reformed Church.
About the Greenpoint Church Soup Kitchen: Greenpoint Reformed Church Hunger Program is the largest emergency food distribution center in North Brooklyn, serving over 250 of our neighbors each week. We open our doors to the community for a weekly meal and food pantry and make an effort to source our meal locally, including growing vegetables and herbs in our communally tended backyard garden. We believe that nourishing food prepared and eaten together with love and dignity should be available to all.
