Tempting Failure is a platform for Live Art, Noise Art and Performance Art. Created to raise the profile of artists who choose to actively engage with risk, transgression or failure within their practice, find it hard to be programmed in a supportive manner, or as established artists would like to challenge preconceived notions of their artwork or a given enquiry.
Now in its third year, TF returns home to Bristol with a week of free events across the city, that culminates in this paid-entry two night event at our spiritual home of The Island. Here we will plunge our audience into a beautiful programme of performances that will consume the senses & the engage the mind. This event is will feature approximately 40 artists over Friday 7th & Saturday 8th November in and around the former police cells, isolation spaces, exercise yard, showers and more of this uniquely exciting venue!

By purchasing a ticket your money directly helps to support not only the artists on these two nights but all of the wonderful and talented people who have performed, exhibited, facilitated workshops or given talks for free throughout the week.

Purchasing a ticket guarantees entry to all main space performances, however it does not automatically grant entry to any reduced capacity artworks such as one-to-ones, or location specific performances that may be constricted by the site: audiences are advised to arrive early and sign up for these elements on the night. Doors open at 6:30pm.
