Peacemaker
"Peacemaker" written by Arnold Pinnix; directed by Danel Wynne, Jr.
Beginning January 29, 2015 and running through to February 2, 2015, a phenomenal performance reveals the rarely seen development (from boy to leader) of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr in a Community Theater production of "The Peacemaker" by Arnold Pinnix. This show exposes the many layers of a boy king who's "Dream" forever changed a nation; our nation.
Peppered with oratory and seasoned with song, "The Peacemaker" dramatizes crucial moments in the life and career of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., from his boyhood years to his untimely death in 1968. The script also portrays characters that were paramount in his development from boy to man, including his wife, Coretta Scott; Martin Luther King, Sr., referred to as "Daddy King;" his mother, Alberta King; civil rights leader Ralph Abernathy, and others.
