The Cultivate Feast
Dear All you lovely people who are thinking of buying tickets for the Cultivate Feast,
Very sadly, we have decided to postpone the feast until next year. Cultivate has had a number of unforeseen events come up over the past few weeks, including having to relocate our depot at short notice, that have combined to mean that our marketing for this event hasn't been as effective as we had hoped and consequently we haven't sold nearly enough tickets for the event to go ahead.
We do really want the feast to happen at some point next year though. It's been something we've wanted to make happen for a long time and something we feel could be great for the local food scene in Oxfordshire.
Many and very sincere apologies to you all, we hope you don't feel too let down and that you will join us at the Cultivate Feast Take 2!
All our very best The Cultivate Team
----------------------------------
On Saturday 20 September, Cultivate - Oxford's local food cooperative -would like to invite you to join us at our first ever feast at Oxford Town Hall.
Over a three course lunch cooked by four of the city's best chefs, from such local haunts as the Turl St. Kitchen and the Vaults & Gardens Cafe, you'll be able to sample an abundant array of different dishes made from locally sourced ingredients giving you a whistle-stop tour of the amazing food available in and around Oxford.
It's a chance to meet people, try some new culinary delights and above all to celebrate the diversity and vibrancy of the local food movement around Oxford in the best way we know how a feast!
Alongside lunch, we will be taking suggestions for topics to be addressed at a more structured networking session later in the Autumn, which we are organizing in conjunction with Good Food Oxford. We will keep you posted of more details on this.
Our Maitre d' for the afternoon will be the wonderful Imran Mirza. Imran is heavily involved in the Oxford food community and is a very experienced waiter. He also happens to be an established actor who is part of Almost Random Theatre based here in Oxford! He is delighted to be helping host this event alongside the Cultivate team and will have with him a team of veg-tastic servers who will give you some curious insights into the dishes being served and will help the afternoon run smoothly.
All food will be vegetarian, with some vegan options. Seating is unreserved. We recommend larger groups looking to sit all together arrive early. Get in touch for more details on info@cultivateoxford.org.
