Ballet 5:8 Presents The Story of Job - Chicago, IL
Ballet 5:8, a Chicago ballet company, presents a full evening program at the Ruth Page Center. The evening will open with one of Artistic Director Julianna Slager's newest work, 'The Four Seasons of the Soul.' The contemporary ballet uses a modern resetting of the music of Vivaldi's Four Seasons as inspiration for the work's exploration of the seasons found in the life journey of the Christian believer.
Then, Ballet 5:8 will present its successful, full-length neoclassical ballet, 'The Story of Job.' This poignant, gripping story takes audiences through the life of the Biblical character of Job, who, though righteous in God's eyes, eventually looses everything. The story forces us to ask some of life's toughest questions: where is God in the suffering?
