Tomorrow's Child as part of Beakerhead
"...your ears receive the audio equivalent of a five star dinner." - Stephen Hunt - Calgary Herald.
"...an intriguing immersive experience combined with compelling storytelling." - Jessica Goldman - CBC Radio
"Fucking Awesome". - Audience member.
Long-time Ghost River collaborator Matt Waddell (electricacoustic sound designer/composer), Ghost River co-Artistic Director Eric Rose and contemporary vocalist Sarah Albu are creating a new adaptation of Tomorrow's Child, a short story by Sci-fi giant Ray Bradbury, for a blindfolded audience. We're pleased to announce that Ghost River has secured the rights from Bradbury's estate to make the piece.
This ain't no radio playwe're staging the quirks of 50s sci-fi, reimagined for a purely sonic environment created by the latest in sound technology. The result will be distinctly Ghost River: a thrilling, immersive performance experience that opens the doors of theatrical perception. It's theatre that lives inside your mind.
