The Essence Of Whitney
Gennine Jackson-Francis, a phenomenal vocal talent from Los Angeles, has been treating the Desert to "A Musical Journey" featuring classic hits from music legends such as Nancy Wilson, Nat King Cole, Etta James, Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole, Anita Baker, Billie Holiday, Dionne Warwick, Whitney Houston and countless others for the past 12 years. She consistently leaves her audiences spellbound and often in tears when she performs Whitney's greatest hits. Her fans and faithful followers have pled with Gennine to do a Whitney Houston look-alike, sound-alike performance. Rarely does a day go by that she doesn't have someone stop her to ask, "Do you know you look like Whitney Houston?" Coachella Valley has been chomping at the bit for Gennine to perform this Tribute and the time has come. Why now? In Gennine's own words, "...because the time has come... I feel it from the depths of my soul. I am not interested in merely doing a 'Whitney Impersonation'. What I desire is to rekindle the memory of Whitney during the era when her records ruled the charts for decades. Whitney had achieved the title of icon and she was called "The Voice" and with all my heart I believe she deserves to be remembered and highly esteemed for the level of success she attained.
This Live show will be accompanied by some of the talented musicians & vocalists who have actually toured with Whitney and when you add the heart & soul that has been poured in to the production, this tribute promises to be an experience of a lifetime!
