THE B WORD DMV SCREENING
Directed by Jermaine Spencer, 'The B Word' is a cinematic short narrative depicting two sisters on conflicting paths leading to a destructive cycle of fear, blame and uncertainty. The story is set around the disease of Bulimia Nervosa, and its debilitating factors transforming a sisterly bond into dysfunction.  This short is a fictionalized take on a growing epidemic in the African-American community that has yet to be addressed on a grand scale.

With their film, 'The B Word,' the Celistan Twins hope to bring awareness and a call to action for young women struggling with body image and depression.  Their mission is to create beautifully flawed female characters to reflect the depth and substance that we live in.  This summer they are bringing 'The B Word' to film festivals all over the country.
