Event
The Joy of Cheese Presents Good Cheese for Hard Times vol. 3
There are great wines, chocolates, coffee, and other culinary delights at moderate prices. Great cheese, not so much. It takes a lot to make a cheese properly (for instance it takes upwards of 12 gallons of fresh milk to make one pound of cheese), and that usually forces the prices skyward. But there are exceptions, cheeses that brim with flavor and great articulation. We'll sample ten of them on Tuesday August 11 at 10 Degrees, 121 St. Mark's Place (between First Avenue and Avenue A). The event begins at 7; you pay for your drinks separately (though it's 2-4-1 happy hour at the start of the tasting). For more information contact me at thejoyofcheese@gmail.com.
