Edible Science Lab!

Aspiring Scientists and Sprouting Gardeners ages 3-13 set out on a journey of exploration and discovery and realize that the edible garden is full of fascinating FUN! Their travels lead them through several hands-on learning stations that bring out the scientists and gardeners within and leave them wanting more!

The Edible Science Lab is made possible through the joint efforts of Growing Green Kids and Witty Scientists.

Growing Green Kids is an enrichment program that provides garden-enhanced nutrition and culinary education in a fun and active way. Therese McHenry, a teacher by trade, left the traditional classroom to start Growing Green Kids where she is passionate about encouraging young gardeners and chefs to interact with nature and food. Witty Scientists, founded by Mariola Kulawiec PhD, provides children with age appropriate "Science Demos With a Twist." Adults are welcome to stay for a complementary workshop on preparing nutritious and delicious lunch boxes and snacks.
