Orphan Barrel Whiskey Dinner at Ink & Elm
Ink & Elm is proud to be one of the few restaurants in Atlanta to receive a full allocation of all three Orphan Barrel whiskeys. And we want to share these great spirits with you over a four-course meal expertly crafted by Executive Chef Stephen Sharp.
The evening will start with a specialty cocktail designed by mixologist and I&E bar manager Nick Chaivarlis. Kevin Mulcahy, a Master of Whiskey, will then lead the group through a flight of three Orphan Barrel whiskeys expertly paired with the cuisine of Stephen Sharp: Barterhouse matured 20 years; Old Blowhard matured 26 years; and Rhetoric matured 20 years.
If you understand the story of Orphan Barrel, you know why this is such a special event. The Orphan Barrel Whiskey Company was started to share barrels of rare and delicious whiskey, hidden away and nearly forgotten in the back of rickhouses and distilleries.
Stories of these lost whiskeys have become the stuff of legend. The goal is to bottle these rare, small offerings for the world to try.
Every Orphan Barrel is hand bottled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, to ensure that these rare whiskeys are treated with the care they deserve because some of them will only be available once. And once they're gone, they're gone forever.
