Doug Varone's choreography spans the gamut of contemporary dance, opera, film and musical theater. At once highly physical and emotionally rich, the work ranges from the bizarre to the serious, the humorous to the abstract, the introspective to the glorious.

Join Doug Varone and Dancers as we uncover the company's archives Thursday June 3rd at Videology. If you've seen our mini documentary series, now you can experience more excerpts through original performance footage, with live commentary from Doug and the dancers. With repertory dating back to 1986, the evening's selections will sample a wide range: the gestural vs. the abstract, the new vs. old, the intimate vs. the explosive, the slapstick vs. the serious.

Doug and the dancers will be on hand (with drinks in-hand) throughout the evening to engage about the dance-making process and what it's like to perform in the work.

Exact schedule of works being shown will be announced shortly. All works will be shared between 7-9pm.
