Censored on Final Approach - The Unknown stories of the Women Airforce Service Pilots
"Censored on Final Approach" by Phylis Ravel is the story of four WASP (Women Air Force Service Pilots), a group of roughly one thousand women hired by the United States Army Air Force during WWII to fly military aircrafts and tow targets for live anti-aircraft artillery practice, thereby freeing male pilots for combat missions.

"Censored on Final Approach" is a story of strength, courage, identity, and the close-knit friendships formed during a very important period in American history. These women flew a combined total of over 60 million miles in every type of military aircraft and paved the way for future generations of female pilots, both military and civilian. This play continues IVP's tradition of producing works that underscore the pivotal but often overlooked roles women have played throughout history.

About Infinite Variety Productions

Infinite Variety Productions is a nonprofit theatre company dedicated to shining light on the lesser known stories
from women's history. Our past productions of "A Piece My Heart" by Shirley Lauro, which tell the stories of women
who served in Vietnam during the war, This production was also presented in Washington, DC for the Vietnam Women Memorial Foundation 20th Anniversary in November 2014, and in Wyoming at the VA center, high schools and colleges. "Eclipsed" by Patricia Burke Brogan, the first play written about the Magdalene Laundries, and " These Shining" Lives by Melanie Marnich, which tells the story of the radium girls, give a voice to the many women throughout history who have been forgotten. IVP believes that these stories are essential; without learning from the past, we cannot hope to improve

the future.
