New London Harbor 'Pequot' Light is the oldest and tallest lighthouse on Long Island Sound. According to the US Coast Guard, from the lantern of Harbor Light, one can see more lighthouse than from any other spot on earth! The 1801 lighthouse was conveyed to the New London Maritime Society by the federal government in 2010. Still an active aid to navigation, the lighthouse represented Connecticut on a 2013 US Postage stamp.
