The Damariscotta River Association is partnering with Annie Nixon to provide a free children's concert on June 28 at historic Darrows Barn at DRA's Round Top Farm.
Nixon says about her debut album I Love My Dandelions, "The songs are spring songs. They are filled with that effervescent feeling of joy felt by anyone who has 'made it through' a long, cold Maine winter. This album is a beautiful combination of original music and creative arrangements of seasonal poems. It's music for the whole family!" In addition to the concert, DRA will be offering a raffle for a two-hour boat ride on the Damariscotta estuary for up to five guests. Following the concert, Harvest Moon Pizza of Waldoboro will be selling pizza by the slice and unique drinks will be on sale from Swallowtail Farm and Creamery of North Whitefield.
The Damariscotta River Association is a non-profit membership supported organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of the Damariscotta River, its watershed, and adjacent areas for the benefit of all. Visitors are welcome at the Great Salt Bay Heritage Center in Damariscotta as well as the many other DRA properties throughout the region. DRA has active programs in the areas of land conservation, stewardship, community education, water quality monitoring, marine conservation and cultural preservation.
