John Gorham PFA: First ever dinner at Mediterranean Exploration Company
PFA is pleased and honored to open another of John Gorham's fantastic Portland restaurants. The chef behind Portland's storied Toro Bravo, Tasty N Sons and Tasty N Alder opens his fourth restaurant: Mediterranean Exploration Company, and you can be there for the first ever dinner at this new Pearl gem. MEC , a mostly Levantine-inspired restaurant will be serving small plates inspired by Gorham's recent travels to the Middle East where he and Chef Kasey Mills ate their way through dozens of restaurants in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and in northern Israel along the Lebanese border.
As is the case at all PFA dinners, you'll meet Chef John and his lovely wife and partner Renee as they host you and welcome you to their new venture. Taste multiple courses with all drink pairings included.
You will also hear John and Renee talk about their favorite Portland places, and leave with gift certificates to try them!
You'll start out with a visit at your convenience to Maurice, Chef Kristen Murray's new pastry luncheonette downtown. Also one of John's all-time hangs, Ringside Steakhouse. Also, one of NW's favorite's, Serratto.
Portland Food Adventures events are a great date idea, and perfect for clients or small groups. Multiple FOOD/DRINK EXPERIENCES FOR THE PRICES OF ONE TICKET! Multi-course dinner and wine/drinks AND GRATUITY, ALONG with certificates are included in the $125 ticket.

We respectfully request that guests REFRAIN FROM SMOKING DURING THE EVENT (this means getting up during the dinner and going outside to smoke, and returning), as this is a communal dining experience. Portland Food Adventures reserves the right to refuse service to any patron who smokes or acts in an inappropriate manner. No refund will be given, since the restaurant will have planned the meal for a particular number of guests. Since this is a communal dining experience we ask you to be respectful of other guests and restaurant employees in every respect. There may be expiration dates for your certificates. Tickets are non-refundable, but buyers may call 503 208 4290 to change the name of the reservation at will-call up 24 hours before the event, if for whatever reason you choose to give the ticket to someone else.
By coming to this event, unless you request otherwise in writing, you acknowledge that there will be photographers at the event, and the use of your image in blogs or for any reasons is authorized by you. Please inform any guests for whom you are buying tickets.

INCLEMENT WEATHER: If the restaurant is open on the night of the event, the event goes on. Refunds or credits for a future events will be issued within a week after the event, only if the restaurant is closed on the night of the event due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
