Event
"Grow a Farmer" Summer Soiree
Join us in downtown Santa Cruz to help celebrate as we near our Grow a Farmer campaign goal! The campaign is raising funds for Apprenticeship housing at the UCSC Farm, which will help keep this program affordable and available to a wide range of aspiring organic farmers and gardeners.
The evening will feature fresh, local organic food prepared by Feel Good Foods/River Cafe and Cheese Shop, along with an array of local wines and non-alcoholic beverages. As part of the event, Supervisor Mark Stone has been invited to present Santa Cruz County's proclamation of June as "Grow an Organic Farmer" month.
A donation of $25 or more* per person is requested, with all proceeds benefiting the Grow a Farmer campaign. Tickets will also be available at the door the day of the event, though ticket sales are limited.
The Apprenticeship training program is part of the Center for Agroecology and Sustainable Food Systems at UC Santa Cruz.

*For tax purposes, the value of the food and drinks offered is $25 per person. Contributions beyond that amount are tax-deductible charitable gifts and will be recognized in writing after the event.
