The second annual Wicker Park Bucktown TAP showcases the cool local bars and restaurants that promote the art of brewing and all its delicious spoils. At TAP, local bars and restaurants will offer up specially selected draft beers to slake your thirst for discovery and refreshment. Guests who buy a ticket will experience and receive:
A commemorative beer tasting glass.
Servings of the multitude of beers on offer at the event!
Music and four hours of fun!

WPB TAP welcomes Friends of the Bloomingdale Trail! They have partnered with Goose Island to celebrate the progress made on the 606. Stop by their table for updates and Goose Island brew!
We are also welcoming Forbidden Root, a brewery so new on the Chicago craft beer scene that they have yet to put their roots down. We can't wait to see what beers they'll be bringing round for us. Look for their brewery & taproom to be opening on Chicago Avenue.
Food:
What goes better with beer than sausages? Not much. Chop Shop will have a $4 special on sausages during the event! Many of our participants will be bringing bites to accompany their brews. We've heard rumors of tamales from High Noon Saloon, chocolate-covered bacon from Floyd's, red velvet cheesecake squares from Feast, and more! If you really work up an appetite, you can also order from Chop Shop's full menu and deli at the front of the house.
Getting Here:
We highly encourage designated drivers or using public transportation/taxi service to arrive to and from the event. Chop Shop/1st Ward Events is located near the Damen Blue Line stop and is easily accessible via buses #50, #56, and #72.
But what if I NEED to watch the World Cup that day?:
No problem. World Cup matches will be viewable(though not audible) on Chop Shop's giant projector screen during the event! The USA v. Portugal match take place right after TAP, and Chop Shop welcomes all attendees to hang out to watch.

This event is produced by Map Room and the Wicker Park Bucktown Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds from the event will support the Chamber's local economic development initiatives to sustain our local, independent businesses.
