Gates In and Out: A Play of Transformation
The motif of the Hero's Journey is widely recognized as a 'template' that reflects the steps, stages, or experiences encountered on the road of great change or transformation. Called from an ordinary familiar life, the hero goes forth on a quest. Then what happens? The answer is the stuff of great drama, compelling film, lasting myths and sometimes our own lives.
Written by Lola Wilcox and directed by Chuck Wilcox, "Gates In and Out" was presented in 2012 at the Joseph Campbell Conference in New Paltz, NY, home of the Center for Symbolic Studies which he inspired. A facilitated discussion with the audience will follow the performance.
Ticket price is $10 in advance and $15 at the door.
