Directed by Pepe Danquart Polish with English subtitles The inspiring true story of Srulik Fridman, an eight-year-old boy, who flees the Warsaw ghetto in 1942. He attempts to survive, at first alone in the forest, and then as a Polish Christian orphan named Jurek who travels from farm to farm working for food. Throughout his ordeal, his Jewish identity is in danger of being lost. The film is based on the bestseller by Uri Orlev.
