Onalea is an award winning singer, actor and songwriter originally from Canada who has created and performed with symphony orchestra, chamber ensemble, jazz band and in the theatre internationally. She has brought three of her original shows to New York since 2011, all received premieres at the New York Musical Theatre Festival: BLANCHE (A top show of 2011 - Huffington post); REQUIEM FOR A LOST GIRL: A Chamber Musical about Homelessness; and David Rhymer's MATA HARI IN 8 BULLETS (outstanding individual performance award).
