Dos Fallopia: Deja Poo
(Deja Poo: The undeniably eerie feeling that you've seen this crap before...)
Seattle sketch-comedy mavens Lisa Koch and Peggy Platt (Dos Fallopia) offer up a dose of their classic sketches for four nights only, May 14-17 at the Theatre Off Jackson.
Drawing from their vast arsenal of quirky material, Lisa and Peggy have selected some of their favorite spoofs and dysfunctional characters, including: Fran and Annies 12-Step Day Care; granola duo Mud (Compost Morningdew and Dolphin-Free Tuna Womon); aging rockers Heartwood Mac; perverse nun Sister Mary Agnes; and mother-daughter country superstars The Spudds in The Big Valley of the Dolls. Pianist D.J. Gommels will join the duo.
Koch and Platt have collaborated as sketch-comedy partners since 1990, and have toured extensively as Dos Fallopia. Shows include Pretty Girls, Not Too Bright, Twin Sisters of Different Cul-de-sacs, and the ever-popular Ham for the Holidays series. A London Connection review declared, Could they be the long lost love of Doris Day and Divine? Big, brash, and completely mad..., and a San Francisco Bay Times reviewer proclaimed, ...two of the funniest, most irreverent comedians I've seen in years.
When they're not performing together, the two women pursue busy solo careers. Koch has recorded four solo CD's, is an member of Seattle folk-funk quartet Venus Envy, performs regularly on Olivia Cruises, and tours her one-woman shows (Two's Company, I'm a Crowd, Return to Planet Lisa). Platt is well known to Seattle audiences as a standup comic, radio personality, and actor/playwright (Fat Girl Follies, Rocky Horror Show, Holiday Survival Game Show).
