"All Our Relations Racial Healing Circle"
What are Racial Healing Circles?
The All Our Relations Racial Healing Circle Project is a new effort at NACS.  According the American Library Association, racial healing circles are designed to focus on stories that affirm our common humanity - rather than on solving a problem. They are designed to go much deeper into the heart space by encouraging people to tell their stories, to listen deeply to the stories of others, find common ground and enable us to see our common humanity to help us to see ourselves in the perceived other. When this occurs, we build the trust that is necessary for courageous dialogue, and the transformation of hearts and minds that shows up in what we say and do.

What is All Our Relations?
The phrase All Our Relations comes  from many Native, Indigenous cultures that recognize that we are all part of our Human family and we are all connected to the Natural World.  This honors our ancestors, encourages pride, kindness, understanding, and respect for all peoples, and affirms our commitment to working toward a society where all people are valued, appreciated and respected.

Who Should Attend a Racial Healing Circle?
The All Our Relations Racial Healing Circle Project is open to all community members from all races, ethnicities, and groups.  We welcome all who are already involved with racial justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.  Circles are also open to anyone who is concerned about racial healing for yourself, your community, and society at large, and may not be sure what you can do.
These Racial Healing Circles are great opportunities to embark on and/or strengthen our journeys towards peace, friendship, respect, and kindness for all peoples.  Please let us know if you have any questions and everyone is  welcome to join us!
