Come to La Bruquena on April 11th at 9p to celebrate the beginnings of {she crew}.
Join us in celebrating current voices in feminism through music, spoken word, comedy, and other live acts. It's like being at your middle school Sadie Hawkin's Dance only you have much better hair, you're not afraid to talk to boys (or girls), and you are fully confident in you dance skills (which, let's face it, you should be). Both Lisa Frank and snap bracelets will be in attendance at the auction as well as other super cool prizes, like the famed "Cats Against Catcalls" tee! Put simply: live acts, a bar, music, an auction, a piƱata and prizes. ALL the proceeds at the door& in the auction fund {she crew} directly. You'll be GIVING to a non-profit while GETTING cool prizes and fun times. You don't want to miss out!
Get your ticket here for $12, or at the door on April 11th for $15. Either way, you're helping to launch {she crew} and helping girls find their superpowers!
In case you've forgotten: {she crew} is a multi-disciplinary journaling to performance summer program for girls in Chicago. We are exploring what it is to be a woman, how one defines womanhood, and how we see ourselves in relation to that definition.
Contact Mia Vivens at ameliavivens@gmail.com with any questions about the event, and contact Brown Paper Tickets with any concerns about ticketing!
{she crew} out!
