The act of expressing, conveying, or representing in words, art, music, or movement; a manifestation: an expression of rural values something that expresses or communicates; a manner of expressing, esp. with eloquence, a showing of feeling, character, etc. A look, intonation that conveys meaning, in which one expresses oneself, especially in speaking, depicting, or performing.

Expresiones Dos
A dance festival that will involve Dance and Art as it will be hosted at PHIX Gallery in the heart of downtown Phoenix's Arts District. The Gallery will be renovated into a theater with full lights, dance space, marley dance floor, and seating for the audience. The production will showcase expressive, unique and artistic talent in contemporary modern form with the essence of fine art. Due to the intimate seating we will expand the showcase for two nights for all to experience. This year's Expresiones will be held for two nights: Friday, April 17th and Saturday, April 18th. After each show we will gather with the audience to enjoy the space, the work we shared, the art on the walls along with hours de vours and cocktails. In a sense we hope to accomplish a greater interaction with the audience and the choreographers for any Q&A.

The opportunity for performing in an alternate non-traditional theater space will allow the audience to experience and share new perspectives of performance. The closeness with the dancers will help to cultivate a more intimate relationship with the audience and community. By venturing into alternative spaces the dance community will be expanding and broadening our audience as well as supporting our local community of artists and art spaces.
Dulce, as a company, believe that art inspires, heals and provokes the mind and so we are determined to curate a show that will bring the dance community and the art world together.
