Bikes in Holland!
An evening to discover and celebrate Bikes in Holland!
Our friends in the cities of old Holland use their bikes for over 50% of their journeys; here in the new Holland, less than 1% of us do. Why?
This spring, Professor Lee Hardy of Calvin College will take us on a fascinating ride through the streets of Amsterdam and Copenhagen, two of the world's leading cities for bicycling.
Professor Hardy's inspiring multimedia presentation demonstrates how these cities make way for people on bikes and help them get around in a way that's fun, easy, and affordablefor everyone!
After he answers your questions, Elisa Hoekwater, author of the Holland area's updated non-motorized plan, will briefly update us on where things stand around here. Delicious cookies and coffee from Simpatico Coffee will be yours to enjoy.
Join us on Saturday, May 10 at 7:00 p.m. at Fourteenth Street Christian Reformed Church to celebrate Bikes in Holland!
