Side Show
This will be the first Manhattan production of SIDE SHOW since its premiere on Broadway in 1997.
SIDE SHOW is dramatically based upon real-life vaudeville entertainers and conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton. The musical follows these unique sisters from their humble beginnings among the "freaks" of the sideshow to their rise of fame in the Vaudeville circuit and eventually Hollywood. Along the way they face challenges of love, identity, discrimination, and isolation. The New York Times called the musical "daring" and "enthralling", adding that the songs, ranging from saucy gospel to rock-flavored ballads, "spin out of each other with agility and a beautifully sustained momentum".
The production will be produced and directed by Ryan Mekenian, choreographed by Billy Griffin, and musically directed by Mike Pettry.
The company includes: Nina Ablan, Dane Agostinis, Daniel Berlin, Kevin Bradley, Jr., Nathan Brisby, Todd Briscoe, Jordan Brodsky, Rycki Callan-Goodwin, Jordan Kai Burnett, Keith Hammeran, Courtney Hammond, Shea Hess, Joshua Isaacs, Jill Kerley, Laura London, Nick Madson, Ryan Makely, Carey McCray, Yvette Newsome, Drake Reporto, Kevin Santos, Matthew Schmidt, Scott Tanzer, Sam Tedaldi, and Janie Wallace
