Lancaster Roots and Blues
Lancaster Roots and Blues is a music festival featuring over 60 lives bands on 10 stages in Lancaster, Pennsylvania USA at 8 different venues. All venues are within walking distance of each other. The second annual festival is on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6 and 7, 2015. This is an indoor festival.
Wristbands will be available at all venues. We do not expect to sellout. Online ticket sales for Will continue for Saturday tickets until 5 p.m. Saturday. Tickets will also be at the doors on Saturday too.

You cannot purchase VIP or under 21 tickets at these locations. They are only available online or by calling 1-800-838-3006.
General Admission tickets are available for either 1-day purchase, Fri. for $49 or Sat. for $59 each or save money and buy a two-day ticket at $99. There are also a limited number of VIP tickets available. Learn more about The VIP Experience at the bottom of this page.

You have options on how to get your tickets.
When you order, as you scroll down through the order page you have the option to either have the tickets sent to you, (At no additional charge- Best option) or you may print them or have them delivered to your mobile device or held at Will Call at the festival. If you print your own ticket or use mobile delivery or will call, there are only two will call windows at the festival. One is in the lobby of the Convention Center and one at Chameleon Club. You will need to bring your self-printed or mobile ticket to a Will Call call window to receive your festival wristband.
If you have a hard ticket sent to you, you can enter any venue at the festival without going to a Will Call window first. Keep in mind; if you have the tickets sent now, you need to keep them in a safe place.
Due to special requests, we have created an under 21 ticket for younger fans. While it is not possible to open the whole festival to fans under 21 due to liquor laws, we are offering a limited Under 21 ticket that will allow you access to both Steinman Hall and the Owen Salon as well as all Master Classes at The Ware Center and all shows at the Trust Performing Arts Center. Both of these venues do not sell alcohol. These tickets are $20 for Friday and $25 for Saturday or $37.50 for a two-day ticket. Check the schedule on the website for full details of who is performing at these venues. There are many terrific artists appearing here!
VIP Tickets!
The VIP Experience is presented by Marion Court Room and The Waterfront Restaurants. VIP hors d'oeuvres at The Ware Center and Tellus 360 is generously provided by The Accomac Inn. The VIP Experience is provided for our prime sponsors and festival supporters and we also offer a limited number of tickets for sale for our most enthusiastic fans.
VIP ticket prices are $140 for one night and $225 for a two-day ticket. If you have a two-day ticket, bring it on Friday to any venue and the stub will be torn off by our door staff and you will be issued a Friday VIP wristband. Save your ticket to gain entry on Saturday. (The ticket is transferable- which is cool. You can use it on one night and your friend can use it on the other night)
Holders of VIP tickets will receive the following benefits while attending the 2015 Lancaster Roots and Blues.
1.A 2015 Roots and Blues t-shirt and a Festival Poster. Redeem your ticket for the shirt and poster at the Lancaster Convention Center outside the main stage or at Chameleon Club.
2.There will be hors d'oeuvres in 5 of the venues. Food at The Ware Center and Tellus 360 will be provided by The Accomac Inn. New for this year, the Convention Center will serve VIP food in the gorgeous Montgomery House located just outside the main hall of the center on Friday and in the VIP area of the concert hall on Saturday. Also new for this year, Carr's Restaurant will be serving VIP food at The Trust Performing Arts Center. Pour will be providing wine (while supplies last)for the Trust and Ware Center VIP areas, and Lancaster Brewing Company will provide the VIP Beer in those areas too.
VIP food at the Convention Center, Ware Center and Tellus 360 and The Trust will be served from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night. The Federal Taphouse will present late night VIP food from 10 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. There will be complimentary beverages at the Ware Center and the Trust.
3.Your VIP wristband will get you early seating to Steinman Hall at Ware Center. There will also be reserved seating area for VIPs at The Convention Center. This will be directly in front of the sound board in the center of the venue.
4.VIP wristband will get you preferred entrance to all venues in event of Maximum capacity issues. You will have opportunity for entrance into venues if you are there 15 minutes before the next scheduled show starts. With 5 minutes before show time, we will fill in final capacity with general admission tickets.
5. The rock band LIVE will hold a Meet and Greet and photo op for VIP ticket holders in the Montgomery House before their Friday night performance at 8:15 p.m.
6. Blues Hall of Famer, Joe Louis Walker will hold a Meet and Greet and photo op for VIP ticket holders in the Montgomery House after his Friday night performance at 8:15 p.m.
7. Iron Butterfly will hold a Meet and Greet and photo op for VIP ticket holders after their Saturday afternoon show at the Convention Center. Location and time TBA. -------------- We have 5 Master Classes this year! The Master Classes are a great way to get an up close lesson in an artist's instrument, learn their philosophy of playing music, hear some stories and ask some question. Your festival wristband will get you access to the Master Classes. All Master Classes are in The Ware Center, 42 N. Prince St. Lancaster. Saturday Feb. 7, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. From the Parlor to the Plantation: The Evolution of the Acoustic Guitar in Prewar Blues Bruce Roth and Tom Wentzel from Vintage Blues Guitars, Lancaster, PA & guitarist Jerron 'Blind Boy' Paxton Attendees will experience, first hand, the guitars that helped shape popular music in the first half of the twentieth century. A variety of acoustic guitars closely associated with the emergence of 'blues music' will be discussed and demonstrated, including early twentieth-century "parlor" guitars,ladder-braced "Stella" guitars, "Leadbelly" 12-string guitars, and a variety of "resonator" guitars. Following the presentation, attendees are invited to ask questions and play the guitars. You can see Blind Boy Paxton on Friday at The Trust at 7:10 and Saturday at Steinman Hall at 4:00 p.m. Saturday Feb. 7, 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Attention Bass Players- Kenny Aaronson will demonstrate and talk about the bass and what makes him one of the most sought after sidemen in the business in both studio session work and live gigs. Kenny, while playing with Bob Dylan was named Bassist of the Year by Rolling Stone Magazine. Just some of the artists Kenny has performed with include: Chuck Leavell, Mick Taylor, Joan Jett, Neil Schon, Graham Parker, Neil Schon, Dave Edmunds, Brian Setzer, David Gilmore, and well you get the idea.- This is your only chance to see Kenny at the festival since he has to rush out to another gig.
Saturday Feb. 7, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Liberty DeVitto- Drummer for Billy Joel for 30 years. He has also done session work for Carly Simon, Phoebe Snow, Karen Carpenter, Rick Wakeman, Bob James and Meat Loaf. Liberty performs Saturday night in The Elks Lodge with Reach Around Rodeo Clowns at 9:40 p.m.
Saturday Feb. 7, 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Bram Wijnands the amazing Boogie Woogie and Stride playing Jazz pianist from Holland by way of Kansas City. After giving the Master Class, Bram will perform at 6 p.m. in Steinman Hall. -------------

This is an all weather event! No refunds on tickets. Schedule subject to change. We do have free shuttle buses that will loop around to all of the festival venues on Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
