Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble (SATE) is proud to present their next production in its Season of the Monster, Bachelorette, by Leslye Headland. Performances are May 7-17, Wednesdays-Saturdays, at The Chapel, 6238 Alexander Drive.
Ten years out of high school, four friends convene in a luxurious bridal suite the night before a wedding. Fueled by jealousy and resentment, the girls embark on a night of debauchery that goes from playfully wasted to devastatingly destructive. Bachelorette is a wicked black comedy about female friendship and growing up in an age of excess.
SATE's performing ensemble includes Cara Barresi, Jamie Fritz, Wendy Renée Greenwood, Carl Overly, Jr., Jared Sanz-Agero and Ellie Schwetye. Mollie Amburgey is the Stage Manager. The production is directed by Rachel Tibbetts with lighting design by Bess Moynihan. Tickets are $20 per person. $15 tickets for seniors, students and artists. Audience members will receive $5.00 off their ticket price if they wear a bridesmaid dress for the performance on Friday, May 9 (a cocktail reception will follow the performance).
Bachelorette is for adult audiences only.
