Metamorphosis

Katie Reimer offers a solo piano recital that explores the way composers spanning 300 years use repetition to slowly transform and change our understanding of an original idea. The music on this program taps into our human craving for the familiar and expected, while also acknowledging our impatience for something new.

This program includes Daniel Roumain's Nine Soul Settings of a Bach Chorale, a solo piano piece which Katie Reimer commissioned in 2013 to be performed throughout the 2013-14 season.
