Jenny Kerr Family Hootenanny! featuring Philbillie Milner
The Jenny Kerr Family Hootenanny is going to be a wild wonderful night of music and magic, bringing together the talents of many wonderful musicians.
Jenny Kerr is an artist of rare talents. She is a songwriter whose passionate, poetic songs are immediately familiar, like long lost friends rediscovered. She is a burning hot player on guitar, banjo and harmonica. Jenny will of course be joined on stage by her long-time guitarist and producer, Mr. Philbillie Milner. Philbillie's brilliant guitar work and outstanding backing vocals blend and intertwine with Jenny's singing and playing in a way is beautiful and exhilarating.
At this Hootenanny, Jenny is presenting the San Francisco debut of the Los Angeles jam band, Saturn Returns. This adept and dynamic quartet has amazing array of songs written by Doug Grean(guitar), Doug Haxall(bass), Thomas Newbold(drums), and Billy Cohen(Troublemaker). Haxall, Grean and Cohen have had their musical lives intertwined for almost 30 years. Singer-songwriter and drummer, Thomas Newbold is a Bay Area kid and this return to the Bay has been much anticipated.
Also, on the show are special guests: the thrilling Oakland Blues Man and songwriter, Benjamin Brown; Americana Folk Pop Duo, the Keller Sisters; bodacious blues chanteuse, Kim Kenny and 12 year-old, multi-instrumentalist, Daniel Cohen.
