SH*TS & GIGGLES 78 Min. (SHORTS PROGRAM)
FRIDAY | March 14 | 10:00pm | Egyptian Theatre (Rigler)
SH*TS & GIGGLES Satiric, playful and downright sexy, this carefully crafted selection of LGBT shorts takes on a myriad of stereotypes and dilemmas with grace and humor plus a live performance by Los Angeles stand-up comic Raneir Pollard ("Pride Comedy Jam", "Tosh.0"!) CUKI COLORINCHI EVOLUTION Dir. Eduardo del Omo, 2013, 4 min A Thai doll-maker is a legend in his own mind in this fun, inquisitive film that plays like an outrageous collaboration between Henry Selick and Charlie Kaufman. ONE-NIGHT STAND Dir. Ryan Logan, 2013, 6 min Two women on a comic collision course - a bride-to-be and a sexy biker with a bad habit - learn after their one-night stand that, sometimes, you wind up with more than you bargained for. SQUARED Dir. Hieu Tran, 2013, 15 min A hookup turns competitive when two guys discover they're both tops and take drastic measures to determine which one will "win," in this lighthearted look at our own stereotypes and the roles we play every day. WOOF Dir. Rich Yap, 2014, 4 min When a guy gets unexpectedly cruised while walking through a park, he's in for a trick and a treat with a horror-filled surprise.
FIRST BAPTIST Dir: Nedra McClyde, Jamund Washington, 2013, 20 min In this brilliant, dead-on satire, a young man's dream of being the lead in his church's ramshackle choir is thwarted when his older brother, the choir's director, realizes his little brother is gay.
