Romancing the West Tour
"ROMANCING THE WEST Legacy tour" return to Southern Oregon, Saturday, May 10th at 7:00 pm, at Plaisance Ranch after playing to standing ovations in 2013 in Oregon and California.

All Star Line Up Brings to Life 240 years of the American West decade by decade in the music of every era in this time traveling documentary concert.

The Critically Acclaimed documentary concert Romancing the West is returning to California to tell the epic story of the American West in music, rare film, historic photos and video. The multi-media docu-concert journeys across a rich cultural history of 240 years, from the Native tribes, the Spanish Missions and Gold Rush to the Great Depression and The Sixties to the present day.

A diverse group of award winning recording artists perform an original score that capture the eras, from the Native rattles to ragtime to rock, swing bands to folk tunes. The show comes to landmark theaters along Main Street America, offering audiences a unique theatrical experience.

In 2014, The Blue Delilah's (Melissa Ritter and Amy Dyer), join the show for many dates to bring life the 1940's and 50's and the post war boom, reuniting with their former bandmate, RTW's writer and producer Christina Duane, years after the women had founded pop/rock group Velvet Bleu together.  Featured Artists include, Native American Educator, Jacque Nunez, cowboy balladeers Sons of the Oregon Trail, jazz pianist Patti Moran McCoy who played with Duke Ellington, Martin Gerschwitz (Iron Butterfly), Chuck Girard (Lovesong), fusion rock guitarist/composer Byron Fry, multi-instrumentalist/songwriter John Elliott.

Singer/songwriter Christina Duane, who created and produced Romancing the West, and co-producer legendary cowboy poet Butch Martin will also share the stage and bring the stories of the characters of the West on screen with historic imagery and reenactments.

This multimedia theatrical presentation reflects significant times over the last two centuries, from the beauty of the Native people's culture when the West lay untouched by time, to exploring the Oregon Trail to building the railroads and the preservation of the majestic lands. Concertgoers will enjoy an entertaining and educational production for all-ages that boldly remembers the tragic and celebrates the triumphant episodes in Western History. "Romancing the West" covers themes across the decades of social and political change to celebrate the pioneering human spirit and diverse legacy of the American West.
