How the Body Speaks: the Healing Power of Story - A workshop with Nancy Mellon
9:30am until 3:30pm An exuberant and wise storyteller dreams within every one of us. To awaken this storyteller puts us in touch with an immense storehouse of creativity and healing. Through a combination of Western and Eastern medical wisdom, myth, tales, and storytelling and story-making exercises, you are invited to discover the joy and blessing of this powerful ancient story art and expand your knowledge of the body and its intuitive wisdom.Storytelling can be a practical, dynamic healing tool in the fabric of your daily life. This workshop for adults offers vital perspectives for health practitioners, parents, teachers, community leaders, creative artists and all who love stories.

Nancy Mellon, MA, is an elder in theglobal storytelling renaissance. An author, psychotherapist and mentor, for thirty years, she has awakened thegoodness, truth and beauty of the spoken and written word. Nancy works with adults of varied backgrounds who seek new perspectives and greater well-being in their personal, family and professional lives. Nancy has written several books including; "The Healing Art of Storytelling," "Body Eloquence" and "The Knottles." Specializing in storytelling as a healing art, as a teacher and expressive therapist she also facilitates small and large creative projects in all the arts.
