Write: Spring 1 at Doe Bay

You spoke and we listened: with the popularity of Write workshops, we have added a second, completely different workshop in April. Like all Write workshops, our time together bridges genre gaps along the feather of storytelling, where songwriting presents as poetry, poetry as memoir and memoir as narrative song. At Doe Bay, we are all storytellers and we all have a tale to unlock, whichever genre our words choose, and we'll present the key to unlocking the raw narrative inside.

Write Spring 1 will take place April 3 -6, 2014 and will bring together 25 participants at the lovely Doe Bay Resort and Retreat on Orcas Island, Washington. Through shared meals and shared housing, a new vision for a writer's retreat will take place. Community will flourish, walls will break down and love will flow.

What You Should Know About Tickets
Tickets will available to the general public Friday, January 17 at 9 a.m. The line up of artists will be announced Monday, January 20, 2014.

The Fine Print
Workshop is limited to 25 participants. A processing fee of $50 will be charged for cancellations made 30 days or more before the event. There will be no refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of the event, although substitutions may be permitted at the discretion of Write staff. Refunds will not be provided for registrants who do not attend the conference. Notice of cancellation must be made via e-mail to writedoebay@gmail.com. A cancellation acknowledgement will be sent within 3 working days and fees refunded within 10 working days, subject to this Refund Policy.

Note that circumstances beyond the control of the conference organizers may necessitate substitutions, alterations or cancellations of the speakers and/or topics. Therefore, Write: A Doe Bay Alumni workshop reserves the right to alter or modify the advertised speakers and/or topics if necessary. Any substitutions or alterations will be updated on the conference web site as soon as possible.
