A WARPman's Sampler
This Valentines Day season, WARP presents another of their holiday-theme festivals of original one-act plays by local writers. A WARPmans sampler is a box of theatrical Valentine goodies containing an assortment of short plays and other tidbits ranging from the sentimentally sweet (or as close to that recipe as WARP can get) through the bitingly bitter, the enticingly spicy, the salaciously salty, the sourly cynical, the amazingly absurd, the sublimely silly, and the just plain pathetic. All - or most, anyway - clothed in a romantic, chocolate-y Valentine coating.
Come sample the work of Seattle writers Rita Andreeva, Scot Bastian, Eva Chaillat, Leonard Goodisman, Patricia Lines, Mari Salinas, and Jorj Savage, performed by an all-WARPed cast that includes some of the playwrights as well as Patricia Haines-Ainsworth, Jeremy January, Chris Mathews, John Ruoff, Symone Scales, and Ruth Tru. Performances are Friday, February 6, Saturday, February 17, Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14 (Valentines Day) at the TPS Theatre 4 on the fourth floor of the Center House at the Seattle Center. All performances are at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 7:30.
Tickets are $10 at the door.
