Report on indigenous resistance in Colombia
Professor Mario Murillo (Hofstra University) has recently returned from six months in Colombia as a Fulbright scholar. Professor Murillo will present an award winning docummentary on the resistance of the indigenous people of the area of Cauca in Colombia, against the repression conducted by the Government of President Uribe. Tiokasin Ghosthorse (Lakota) lecturer and producer of First Voices: Indigenous Radio, will talk about the solidarity of indigenous movements in the Americas.
