In June 2006, this monthly showcase held at Manhattan Center's Studio 8 Lounge is featuring P.J. Morton, Renee Sebastian, and Shu with guest performers Peter Hadar, Lyrical Fusion, and Camille Young. Hosted by Silky Jones and sounds by DJ Trademark.
P.J. MORTON, a native New Orleans, LA, most often describes his music as "feel good music that lyrically tells stories about life and love...music that makes your heart think...He coins his style of music, 'soulful pop'." Renee Sebastian's BLOWOUT LOUNGE is held every third Saturdays of the month at Manhattan Center's Studio 8 Lounge. Since the inaugural event on April 2006, notable featured artists already include SP!T film star and spoken word poet Oveous Maximus, Danish soul-singer Jonas, and guitarist/violinist Tarrah Reynolds to name a few. Past guest appearances also include HBO Def Poet Mark Gonzales.
