Truly amazing and a triumph!" - University of Notre Dame "This is one show that will have you laughing from start to finish... - Fresh Air at the Festival
A few months back, The Obama Girls of Comedy, a group of comedians hit the road to raise awareness that women were voting for Obama in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Virginia and North Carolina. The group is made up of stellar women comedians who have appeared on Comedy Central, VH-1 and network TV. Throughout the pre-election season, we traveled to 5 states and raised a ruckus. We had our share of highs and lows and feast or famine as we ran out of gas, were mistaken for hookers, played at a few bars straight out of The Accused, volunteered for the campaign and witnessed the most awkward karaoke on earth. On November 4, victory was just particularly sweet when all the states we visited went blue. Yep that was us.
Will Durst is a comic, writer, actor, former radio talk show host, oyster shucker, sod farmer and margarine smuggler who has written for The New York Times, Esquire, George, the San Francisco Chronicle and about 80 other periodicals. He is a 5 time Emmy nominee; has appeared on C-SPAN eight times; been fired by PBS twice; performed in fourteen different countries; racked up 7 nominations for Stand- Up of the Year; with 400+ television appearances, and just wrapped up a critically acclaimed Off Broadway run of his latest 1 man show: The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing, scheduled to be turned into a book by Ulysses Press next spring. His hobbies include pinball, the never-ending quest for the perfect cheeseburger and his heroes remain Thomas Jefferson and Bugs Bunny. Not necessarily in that order.
