The South Dakota Chorale makes its Twin Cities debut with a concert of the best in contemporary choral music including works by Arvo Pärt, Sven-David Sandström, Eriks Ešenvalds, and Jaako Mantyjaarvi.
The South Dakota Chorale is a collaborative network of professional musicians from across the country based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The choir's performances and premier recording have earned critical acclaim on many fronts.
This concert, under the direction of Artistic Director/Founder Dr. Brian Schmidt celebrates the South Dakota Chorale's fifth anniversary. Of the concert and the roster of singers that will sing it, Dr. Schmidt says "I am extremely excited to put together this concert of extraordinary and beautiful modern sacred music. It is by far our most challenging program yet with one of our most talented rosters of singers, which is a thrilling combination. Our audiences are in for a treat!"
