Experience Tricking 2014
Ryan Dale and Samantha Lee present the first annual New Orleans Martial Arts Tricking Camp!
January 18-19, 2014
ages 6-9 seminar: 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
ages 10+ seminar: 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This year, in addition to the seminars, we are unveiling an optional overnight lock-in for participants 8 years old and up!
We are extremely excited to finally realize the full potential of our tricking events, so please continue reading below for more information.
Lock-in begins: 8:00 pm (Jan. 18)
Finale/departure: 9:00 am - 10:00 am (Jan. 19)
Martial arts tricking is a combination of martial arts, gymnastics, and break dancing.
However, this definition is incomplete and is similar to describing a book as a combination of sentences, words, and punctuation. It is so much more than that.
The goal of this camp is to express the true meaning of this art form in a positive way for every single participant.
Whether you're a Hyper/XP/XMA enthusiast, a newcomer to tricking, or just a student who has a love for trying new things in a supportive community, this event is for everyone.
After attending this event, participants will not only develop a new appreciation for martial arts, but their motivation to excel in all areas of life will develop in a way that is unique to martial arts training.
Participants will learn fundamentals of many different aspects of this exciting new form of movement.
All skill levels are welcome!
Expressing the importance of community will be one of our top goals for this event. The participants will learn about the positive benefits of training together and helping each other improve.
We also have sponsorships from local businesses that either employ people involved in martial arts or are owned by people involved in martial arts. Supporting these businesses will help them give back to our community. Please take some of your time to check out these companies at the event.

The venue where the seminars and lock-in will take place, All Star Gymnastics, is a short 15 minute drive away from the unique city of New Orleans and all of its phenomenal attractions.
Whether you absolutely loved the atmosphere of New Orleans while visiting for the 2013 Tiger-Rock World Championships, or you couldn't find the time to explore the city, this event is the perfect opportunity for parents to experience this absolutely enchanting area. Entertainment around every corner, there is something for literally everyone to enjoy. Even if this is your home, the food, music, culture, and hospitality draw you in and make you want to stay every time.

Lock-in details:
- tricking instruction, battles, and games will be conducted within small groups led by school owners and instructors
- dinner will be served and groups will be allowed time to use the bathrooms in the venue to prepare for bed
- males on one side and females on the other side of the gym, two school owners/instructors will take shifts being awake in case anyone needs anything
- breakfast will be served for the participants in the morning before the finale and departure
- relatives and friends are welcome for the finale which will include demonstrations by the instructors and special guests
