Big Event 2014 @ Congregation B'nai Israel
Congregation B'nai Israel's Big Event, on Sunday, January 12, 2014.
We promise a gala dinner (prepared, once again, under the direction of Chef Chris Buchalter), fine wine and joyful camaraderie, all in celebration of our congregation's ninety-third anniversary.
The Felberg Family are our featured performing artists. A mainstay of the music scene in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, the Felbergs - Leonard on violin, Arlette on piano, and son David on violin - will perform masterworks by Ernest Bloch, Fritz Kreisler, Felix Mendelssohn and Jerry Bock.
As you know from previous Big Events, seed money is needed to pay our up-front expenses. We are aiming to raise $8,000.00 to pay printing costs, postage, costs for dinner and servers and professional fees.
Levels of giving are as follows:
Platinum: $750 and above
Gold: $500 - $749
Silver: $250 - $499
Bronze: $100 - $249
Contributors in these categories will receive mention in the evening's program. Of course, we welcome any amount that you feel comfortable giving. Please designate the donation for the Big Event 2014.
As we gain new members and many new children in the Irving and Edith Friedman Academy of Religious Learning, we have lots to celebrate.
And, saving the best for last, this year's dinner will once again feature prime rib!
