She was the first woman to run for President, the first woman stock broker and among the first women to testify before Congress. Some called her and her sister "witches" when they opened shop on Wall Street. Others saw them as visionaries willing to take their fight for women's rights to Washington.
This drama tells the story of one of our nation's most fascinating figures - a spiritualist and a sinner, a free thinker and a fighter for equality, a con artist and a crusader. Woodhull braved jail and battled with (and now and then against) Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Beecher Stowe and others. In an unlikely alliance, she teamed with Cornelius Vanderbilt, who helped fund her brokerage and crusade.
This show looks at Victoria and Vanderbilt, remarkable relationships, struggles and the behind-the-scenes story of a forgotten chapter in our nation's history. It brings a formidable character to life during Women's History Month. Watch a power play that leads to a clash where there can be only one winner. Vote for Victoria Woodhull, by seeing her story.
