Lancaster Roots and Blues
Lancaster Roots and Blues is a Festival of Music over two evenings at five great venues on 9 stages in beautiful downtown Lancaster PA. This is an indoor festival where your wristband will get you into all venues.
Online ticket sales are now closed. You may now purchase your tickets at the gate of any of the five venues. They are the same price. We have plenty of general admission tickets so you will get in. Doors Open Friday and Saturday night at 5 p.m. at all venues except our late night venue , which is the Federal Taphouse beginning at 9:30 p.m. Unfortunately our credit card machines did not arrive in time so bring cash for ticket and merchandise purchases. If you purchased your ticket online and had them held at Will Call, the only Will Call Window at the Festival is at the Lancaster County Convention Center in the Marriott at Penn Square, 25 S. Queen St. Lancaster, PA 17601 It is located in front of Freedom Hall where the Robert Johnson stage is located. The Five Venues are: Convention Center- with Robert Johnson Stage and Thaddeus Stevens Stage. Chameleon Club: 223 N. Water St. with main stage and Lizard Lounge The Federal Taphouse 201 N. Queen St. Tellus 360 at 24 E. King St. with Temple Stage and Thighe Mhary Stage. The Ware Center at 41 N. Prince St. with Steinman Hall, and the Grand Salon. Don't forget the Blues Guitar Workshop at Steiman Hall on Saturday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. Have a safe Trip.

Lancaster Roots and Blues will feature a variety of Blues, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, Funk & Soul, Zydeco, Polka, with a touch a Rock n'Roll and even a smattering of Roots Reggae thrown in for good measure. You may buy tickets for one night or save some money and purchase tickets for both nights. You have a lot of choices. We even created a one day ticket, in case you are giving a gift to a friend and don't know what night they can come. This ticket is good for either night.
The artists roster includes Grammy winning national acts as well as some of the best regional and local bands. All feature musicians who are masters of their craft. We have worked hard to make this festival a very affordable choice. This is going to be the best concert value in 2014. You have the option of purchasing tickets for either day or a two day pass. These tickets are offered at early bird rate until Dec. 31. After that, the price goes up.
There is proscenium seating(Theater Seating)in Steinman Hall, at the Ware Center. To limit the number of disruptions during the performances in this venue only, we are opening the doors 15 minutes before each scheduled concert at Steinman Hall. VIP ticket holders will be seated first, then everyone else we be let in until the hall is full. If you have a particular act you want to see here, you should come early to make sure you get in. To spread the love, we are clearing the hall to give people a chance to see the next show.
VIP- For the real music lover, we have a VIP option available, again by each day or for the two-day option. VIP passes will get you the royal treatment with preferred seating options at The Ware Center and the Robert Johnson Stage, as well as Hors d'oeuvres at 4 of the 5 venues.
At Steinman Hall, as mentioned above, we will offer early seating to VIP ticket holders for each show. There will be a separate line for VIPs. VIP seating starts approx. 20 minutes before each scheduled show time.
VIP seating at the Robert Johnson stage will be open throughout the weekend and you will be able to come and go as you please. The hors d'oerves will be served within the VIP area at the convention center.
VIP ticket holders will also get a chance to meet Johnny Winter in person before the show starting at 7:30 p.m. Details will be at the wristband table when you pick up your VIP wristband.
It is recommended that when you order tickets, have them sent to you. That way you can go straight to any venue in the festival on show day to get your wristband. If you chose to you use Will Call, (Where you pick up your ticket at the festival) there will be one will call table in the Lancaster Convention Center, outside of Freedom Hall, where the Robert Johnson Stage will be. Enter The Convention Center through the main doors on Penn Square, at the corner of Queen and King St. in the center of Lancaster. This is also the entrance to the Marriott Hotel. Go through lobby and down the main staircase to Will Call tables. They will be next to the merchandise and wristband tables.

This is an over 21 event. All of the venues, except The Ware Center with its two stages will sell alcohol. If you are under 21, and wish to come to the shows at The Ware Center, you may purchase a ticket. Just be aware, that your ticket will not get you access to the other venues. Check the schedule carefully to see if that is what you want. Of course, everyone is subject to be carded.
