 Dancelocker presents Bellydance & All That Jazz, A Showcase of Middle Eastern Dance on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 5:00 PM at Cecils Jazz Club, 364 Valley Rd., West Orange, NJ. Hosted by professional dancer Morgiana Celeste of Glen Ridge-based Mosaic Dance Theater Company, this month's Sunday Showcase features performances by Morgiana, Middle Eastern dance troupe Desert Reveries, with performances by Sirrah Nur, Luja, Evadne, Troupe Zaghareet, Genies & Gypsies, and Melinda, Chandra and Ayana from Studio Morgiana. The Sunday Showcase, scheduled on the second Sunday of every month, features New Jersey dancers and teachers of Middle Eastern dance and their students, and is suitable for the entire family. It offers a chance to see professional and student dancers of varying levels, performing classical oriental dance, various folklore styles, as well as fusion and interpretive dance pieces.
