Emotion in Sound

Emotion in Sound was born of the desire of the Teatr Brama Goleniów ensemble (from Goleniów, Poland) to create a performance without cultural barriers, which employs music to explore universal human emotions. It utilizes music collected over a course of many years of collaboration with artists of different cultural backgrounds. While developing the performance the artists of Teatr Brama Goleniow combined their creative resources to bring to life a performance that connects diverse cultures, mixing them artistically in a production that transcends boundaries.

NOTE: Despite of our inability to secure visas for the Teatr Brama ensemble members, we are still going to do the performance in Chicago! The director of Teatr Brama has a 10-year visa (as do some other ensemble members). Fortunately, Teatr Brama is an international group, so the Polish Teatr Brama ensemble members, who were not able to get visas are
being replaced by some international artists that have a history working with Teatr Brama (one of them is a Georgian singer that specializes in traditional polyphonic singing).
