Centralia: The Really Great Depression
On the heels of their successful runs of Uncle and Au Bon Panic, Centralia is back at the PIT with The Really Great Depression, an improvisational journey trough the new Hard Times. In this show Centralia weaves its surreal and hilarious tales inspired in part by market nosedives, corporate bailouts and bank implosions. As we teeter on the brink of new Hoovervilles, breadlines and asking a brother to spare a dime, Centralia delivers its patented brand of script-less scenes, songs and mayhem. Matt Higgins, Jay Rhoderick, and Kevin Scott have been performing together for more than a decade, beginning with the legendary Burn Manhattan. The Really Great Depression is the latest step in their evolution, and it features the amazing musical talents of Stuart Bogie (Antibalas, TV On The Radio, Fela)
"Go prepared to think as well as laugh. And then go again, as often as you like, because each show is a new revelation." Joshua Tanzer, Offoffoff.com
"I love to watch these guys because they're smart, they're witty, they're genuinely funny, and they're perpetually on the edge." Martin Denton, nytheatre.com
