Denver Music Summit Live Performance - The Narrators + special guests David Bazan, Will Johnson, and Erika Wennerstrom
After the first day session of the Denver Music Summit join us for an incredible mash-up of storytelling and music. Denver's own storytelling show, The Narrators--hosted by Andrew Orvedahl and Robert Rutherford--features special guest storytellers Yonnas Abraham (Pirate Signal, BLKHRTS), Scott Booker (Flaming Lips), Dessa, Jeff Linsenmeier (The Czars, The Fray), and Erin Roberts (Porlolo). Storytelling is followed by live performances from David Bazan (Pedro the Lion), Will Johnson (Centro-matic, Monsters of Folk), and Erika Wennerstrom (Heartless Bastards). This special event takes place Saturday, November 23, 2013, at the McNichols Civic Center Building.

About David Bazan: David Bazan was for many years the songwriter, lead singer, and driving force behind the acclaimed indie band Pedro the Lion. Over a decade, Bazan built a dedicated following and sold a couple hundred-thousand albums, based in large part on his extraordinary melodic sense and erudite, theologically-themed songs. in 2006, Bazan ditched the Pedro moniker in favor of his given name and has since produced three critically-acclaimed releases. About Will Johnson: When Will Johnson isn't touring or recording with his main projects Centro-matic and South San Gabriel, making solo records or working on his visual art (his folk-style paintings have been displayed in galleries from Texas to New York), the prolific renaissance man keeps busy with a slew of notable side projects. He's a member of the indie supergroup Monsters of Folk, featuring M. Ward, My Morning Jacket's Jim James and Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst. He's got a debut full-length on the way from Overseas, his new collaboration with former Pedro the Lion frontman David Bazan and brothers Matt and Bubba Kadane of The New Year. About Erika Wennerstrom: Erika Wennerstrom is the singer/guitarist/songwriter of the critically acclaimed Austin, Texas-based band Heartless Bastards. Wennerstrom first convened the band in 2003 and Heartless Bastards has since produced four dynamic rock n' roll albums, including 2012's Arrow.
